Ok here goes… my veri first post

So paiseh to all my ex school mates; blgps, rvhs, sajc, sim… have MIA for so long now. well, for those who didn’t know wat I have been busy wif for the past 4 yrs…

I took up snooker in sep 2001, found this coach, Ricky Chew, and became serious in training. Took his advice and played pool too, joined my first nat’l 9-ball tourney in jan 2002, played my first finals and became runner-up. Recruited into nat’l squad but still received personal coaching by ricky. Took part in various pool and snooker tournaments but no significant wins.

Finally got big break when playing the TNP pool league in 2003. My team came in runner-up again and I got the "MVP" ladies award, =) then things got slow till I won the selection for the world ladies snooker championships to be held in holland in nov 2004. That was my first oversea tournament officially representing s’pore. =p Anyway, i was like a hair close to qualifying but I didn’t. Still I learnt so much fr this trip and my game sort of like leaped to the next level. My game was more consistent and disciplined.

The year 2005 is like my best year ever. First I got my very first national title (2004/05 nat’l 8ball ladies champion) in jan 2005, then i won the first ASEAN ladies 9ball championships in mar 2005. well at least i finally broke the runner up jinx hehe. Stopped training completely to study for my final yr exams in june. Played the selections for SEA games immediately after my exams. well, played like sh*t for 9ball(1st 3 days) but played a bit better & got selected for 8 ball(next 3 days).

The most important thing for me though is that i just got my results from UOL the very night after the Saints Reunion Dinner. I PASSED!!! so glad i can stop worrying abt my degree course and now I will be fully focused on training for the SEA games.

I’m really glad that i went to the Saints reunion dinner and met up with some of you guys. One of these days we shld go for ktv session again, =7 & xiaojia, rem to bring your dig cam ya? haha
