Be Fresh… Be Positive!

May 7th, 2007 by charlenechai

Just got back from KL… played in snooker tournament & lost… again….

but I feel ok with my game considering the amount of time I spent on snooker training…. hehe

My passion & interest for snooker is just so much more than pool. I’ll def be playing more snooker from now. Though I have to focus on 8 ball and then 9 ball first for the Nat’ls….

FAYE: so glad to see you in KL, really hope we (juli too) could get to see you again soon. And hope my snooker game could be better the next time you see me =)

Ok… so my solution… to my hectic work & trainings…

BE FRESH…. BE POSITIVE….

Mixed Feelings…..

April 19th, 2007 by charlenechai

well… has been stagnent in my game since 2006…. but finally had a mini breakthru in taipei where i won myself a spot in the world pool qualifiers….

by right i should ride on it when back in s’pore and train harder & be more motivated…

but… work is tiring… i don’t get enuff sleep… for the past 2 weeks, i don’t train much. In tournaments I don’t fight hard or not determined to win at all….

my coach advised me to take a break, well…. should I?

i need help… hmmm… the only one who can …. is myself….

Happy New Year!!!

December 31st, 2006 by charlenechai

Happy new year guys!!

A BIG thank you to those who supported me all the way during the asian games… though I didn’t do well, I’m really glad that you guys stayed behind me still… hee…

Well, hope that the year 2007 will be a better & greater year for all of us…

I’ll be starting work on Jan 3rd, so I won’t be spending as much time training, but well… I’ll make sure my ‘fewer’ training hours are quality time =)

SO… everyone ENJOY YOURSELVES!!! both today and tomorrow (Hari Raya Haji)…

take care…

Asian Games… here i come…

August 26th, 2006 by charlenechai

Finally the 3 month long asian games selections are over…

From 12 hopefuls, down to 8 motivateds, from 8 to 5 strong endurance ones, from 5 to 3 barely hanging on, last but not least… I’ve come through along with a fellow deserving lady player…

This is just the beginning of an even tougher route as compared to the past 3 months. We have to prepare ourselves to fight against the world’s top lady players in Dec.

Well, I havn’t seen you guys for so so long…(sabballers, ex-saints, sim buddies..etc) from now till dec, think it’ll be worse.

do drop me an sms or email ya? though i’m like MIA.. maybe we could meet up to visit the SA Village =)

ok take care guys…

New found motivation =)

June 10th, 2006 by charlenechai

Well, things has been slow and since klassic became our new training ground for all nat’l players, I havn’t been very hardworking… hehe

just came back from KL, played snooker tournament(me the only za bor) and as usual I lost in the 1st round… but this time I’ve found new motivation =)

From the malaysians side, they’ve informed us abt an Asian Indoor games next year… and guess what? There will be LADIES SNOOKER EVENT! whoa hoa….

Anyway I’ll definitely spend much more time on snooker now although I still have to train pool for the asian games selection.

Further update: Juz to share with you guys, for the first time, I won the national 9 Ball in this Jan and officially became nat’l ranked no. 1 =)

well, still there’s so much area to improve and work on if I were to juz have a chanz for an asian games medal. So…. zai jie zai li ba….

p/s: Marilyn, paiseh wasn’t able to join you guys for dinner as i was in KL. The next gathering I’ll def go :p

Thanks Guys for all your Support!!

December 17th, 2005 by charlenechai

First of all, a really BIG THANK YOU to all of you for ur support one way or another during my sea games. Well, I gave all out & did my best in manila, got myself a bronze medal.

Though it may not be the ideal colour, but i think it’s a fair result for me. In the semis, I lost 9-7 to the eventual champ, Rubilen fr Phil, a great friend & a true champion. Feedback given fr my coaches though was that I played my best & gave a very good fight, because in terms of skill, i’m still way behind ruby.

Well, this trip has been a great experience for me. I’ve learnt so much just by watching ruby’s game(both 8 & 9ball) thruout the competition with Ricky commendating on it beside me. Thus when back home, I’ve got new motivation & inspiration to further improve my game and work on my weaknesses.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive so many smses fr u guys b4 the sea games. I’m really very thankful for each & every one of you and I promise i’ll definitely give a better perfomance for my next tourney.

Stay cheerful everyone, =)
